KCB Group has taken the lead to launch a branch at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
The 236th branch in Talek Town in Narok County targets to reach out to customers, residents, tourists and businesses in line with the financial institution’s financial inclusion objective.
The KCB Maasai Mara branch will bring financial services closer to the customers of Narok South who have been without banking services for many decades. KCB’s new branch comes as a much needed relief for the county whose mainstay is livestock rearing.
“Our role as KCB is to support the county to exploit its resources both in tourism and livestock farming. KCB has the financial capability to support the construction of road infrastructure and other social amenities to lift the status of Maasai Mara as a tourism destination of choice,” said KCB Group Chairman Ngeny Biwott.
“This branch will offer services that will support tourism sector such as foreign services, Diaspora banking, credit and Debit cards. We would also facilitate the commercialization of livestock whenever possible,” he added.
The Maasai Mara is renowned for its tourism attraction sites and the wildebeests migration coupled with a unique blend of wildlife that brings immense foreign income to the county and the country as a whole.
On his part, Narok Governor, Samuel Tunai, expressed his gratitude to KCB Group urging the community to embrace financial management as a means for source of capital for investment.
“KCB has given us the opportunity to improve our livestock farming and engage in other businesses across this region. Our children can go to school through prudent financial access that KCB will provide to the people of Maasai Mara and its environs,” said Governor Tunai.
