Banking Systems Operations Manager(1)

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the head of IT, the role purpose is to ensure that T24 core banking system and all Digital banking channels availability is not compromised through guaranteeing its timely accessibility 24 x 7 x 365, the position is responsible for ensuring all integrating technologies are secure and up to standard with the trend. This position is a stakeholder facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive to achieve those expectations to a high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage performance of the business systems operations staff by performing regular reviews and discussions to improve productivity of the team.
  • Engage business stakeholders to improve service and manage expectations through SLAs and other tools available.
  • Core banking and Digital channels vendor SLA reviews, engagement, and relationship management.
  • Ensures that Core Banking system and other Banking applications are following established IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Supervising Close of Business (COB) processes in a timely manner daily to guarantee integrity of the Business Reports.
  • Ensure 24 x 7 x 356 availability of core banking and digital channels and timely resolution and documentation of faults in the Core Banking environment.
  • Ensure smooth transmission of transaction files through file transfer tools to various destinations.
  • Supervise calls assigned in the ITSM and ECRM system to carry out problem investigation and analysis, follow-up with the respective teams/users and update the status with issue resolution and follow-up for closure.
  • Analysis and resolution of Core Banking related issues which have been escalated during operations and maintain proper documentation/logs for resolution provided.
  • Perform business requirements analysis, Schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products, upgrades, patches, or improvement to the Core Banking Application and Digital channels product suites.
  • Gather system enhancement, data extract requests and reporting requirements from system users and work closely with the information technology team to develop detailed technical requirements and resulting specifications.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, Reviewing and Performing Close of Business processes/activities for core banking systems and Digital channels of the bank.
  • Ensure the system uptime and performance by reviewing I/O waits, system and database locks, TOKEN (Core Banking user licenses) usage and system speeds.
  • Monitor Incidents, Requests and changes logged to ensure quality resolution and closure.
  • Provide alternate solutions while pending the final resolution to help the bank to continue with the business functions.
  • Gather system enhancement, data extract requests and reporting requirements from system users and work closely with the information technology team to develop detailed technical requirements and resulting specifications.
  • Perform oversight of core banking and channels support staff to ensure timely provision of service and staff wellbeing.
