Finance Officer, Reconciliations
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder will be responsible for growing/optimizing business levels transacted with domestic, regional, continental & international banks as well as other Money Value Entities such as;- banks, telcoms, MFls, insurance companies and multilateral Global Development Organisations such as the World Bank among others. The job holder will be the Bank's Chief Advisor on any developments occurring within their space which might impact the Bank's strategy, business and service delivery. The job holder will be expected to tap into the expertise of KCB Bank Group's Financial Institutions Desk in the execution of their mandate. The daily activities include new customer acquisition, existing customer retention and income generation from the sales of the Bank's products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Growth of the Corporate deposit book as per the set organizational targets and ALCO guidelines throug h growth of current accounts/collection business as well as Debt, Trade and Treasury opportunities from the FI Sector.
- Provide specialist sector information and governance as well as conducting training on the structure and workings of the Financial Institutions Sector to the Business, Treasury, Credit, Risk amd Compliance Teams in the Bank

- Monitor customer performance through regular review of accounts, customer visits and financial statements; cross-sell products to maximize business from each connection
- Drive the account planning process, including completing and maintaining relationship plans, unique value propositions, call reports, term sheets and coordinating the RFP process whenever KCB is to be appointed as an FI service provider
- Provides management information to the Regional FI Desk on a regular, as-and-when- required basis, on matters relating to their own portfolio's status of accounts and country level developments
- Pro-actively establishes, develops and maintains a portfolio of corporate clients within the business unit's target market, ensuring that new relationships or ongoing requirements of existing clients attain maximum revenue within acceptable risk profile requirements by carrying out detailed financial analysis of the client accounts and develops proposals within defined Bank procedures that meet the client needs. Further adopts appropriate relationship management strategies to protect the Bank's interests at all times, e.g., potential default, and to meet the clients' expectations of the relationship.
- Ensure 90% digital migration of the assigned portfolio and as feasibly as possible, digitize their customers' journeys to promote the cashless and self-serve solutions of the Bank
- Coordinate and support the branches in running effective Financial Institutions sales activations, generating leads and dealing with queries and complaints
- Any other official duties that may be allocated from time to time by management.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure great working relationship with team members for overall achievement of departmental goals by role modelling the corporate values of the Bank
- New client onboarding through the development and maintenance of a pipeline of prospective clients within FI sector to ensure sustainable growth of the portfolio.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, strategic partnerships, bidding opportunities and relationship management activities
- Ensure adherence to all bank's prescribed processes, standard operating procedures and central bank requirements.

- Ensuring proper systems are in place to effectively manage AML/CFT risk for the Portfolio.
