Denis Damba is a senior Treasury and Financial Markets executive with 19 years of experience in the financial services sector, 17 of which have been dedicated to financial markets leadership.
He serves as Head of Treasury at KCB Bank Uganda Limited, providing strategic oversight of the Bank’s financial markets and liquidity management functions. His experience includes senior treasury leadership roles at dfcu Bank Limited and I&M Bank, where he led treasury strategy execution and drove performance across foreign exchange, money markets and fixed income portfolios. Denis brings deep expertise in foreign exchange and money market trading, balance sheet optimisation, and liquidity management. He is recognised for his strong grasp of macroeconomic trends, market interpretation and forward-looking financial positioning.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism from Makerere University and is an ACI-certified financial markets practitioner. He has completed several executive education programmes at Maastricht School of Management and an advanced Certificate in Banking from Rabobank in the Netherlands.
