Sophia Nabbona Kihumuro is a seasoned credit and banking professional with over 15 years of progressive leadership experience within Uganda’s financial services sector.
She serves as Head of Credit at KCB Bank Uganda Limited. Prior to this role, she held senior management positions at NC Bank Uganda Limited, United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited, and FINCA Uganda Limited, where she led credit strategy, portfolio growth, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives. She began her banking career at Standard Chartered Bank (U) Limited, serving in various roles across business, operations and credit functions. She is passionate about advancing institutional growth and financial inclusion through sound credit governance and innovation. She brings strong technical expertise and organisational leadership, with experience in strategic oversight of credit operations, regulatory compliance, credit policy development and participation in executive and risk management committees.
Sophia holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) from Makerere University (PRMIA).
