Noela Byuma is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with over 15 years of experience across the financial services and telecommunications sectors. She is Head of Marketing and Communications, responsible for leading integrated marketing and corporate communications strategy to drive business growth, strengthen brand equity, and enhance stakeholder trust. Her mandate spans brand management, digital marketing, public relations, media engagement, internal communications, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presence across all platforms.
Prior to joining KCB Bank Uganda, Noela served as Head of Brand and Communications at Airtel Uganda, where she played a pivotal role in accelerating brand growth, customer acquisition and nationwide campaign execution. She led high-impact integrated marketing campaigns, product launches and digital engagement strategies that strengthened market positioning and customer loyalty, contributing to the brand’s recognition as one of the fastest-growing telecom operators in Uganda and across Africa.
Noela brings strong expertise in consumer behaviour, data-driven marketing and large-scale brand management, combining strategic insight with creative excellence to deliver measurable results in competitive markets. She is passionate about nurturing the next generation of marketing leaders and advancing marketing as a core driver of business transformation and sustainable growth.
She holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Uganda Martyrs University. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) and a member of the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS) and holds various certifications in Marketing, Public Relations, Leadership and Digital Strategy.
